Wellness ServicesAt Ridge Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, we provide programs to promote the "Wellness" part of our name to those who have been past patients and to our community members. AfterCare Wellness Program: Once a patient is discharged from our therapy services, they have the opportunity to participate in this program. Many people take advantage of this low cost program, not only because they feel comfortable in our environment and they know the staff members but also because we know each person's medical history and can monitor their progress much more closely than at a community gym. Like a gym membership, people come in and exercise during our 8 a.m.-6 p.m. business hours Monday-Friday. There is no contract or initiation fee and the cost is $20.00 per month. But one must have been a patient at our facility to take advantage of this program. Pilates Mat Classes: We are fortunate to have a certified Pilates instructor who teaches specialized mat classes. Lisa Flores, CPI, has been teaching Pilates since 2003. She is an excellent instructor with a wonderful teaching style. She offers morning Therapeutic Pilates classes for beginners and an Intermediate Pilates class for those with more Pilates experience. Most folks start in the Therapeutic Pilates class and work their way up to the Intermediate class. For more information about Pilates exercise evolution click on the Pilates link on our website. For information about our class dates and times, call 530.877.7744. Cost is $10.00 per class or $70.00 for 8 classes. Total Body Fitness classes: Tim Rabetoy, Certified Fitness Instructor, is teaching these fitness classes. These classes are designed for whole body strength and conditioning, combining core stabilization, aerobic conditioning, strength and coordination exercises, in a fast moving, fun environment. Camaraderie is a huge component of this class, so bring your friends and get in shape! It's never too late to get healthy and fit again. All fitness levels welcome. All exercises can be modified to meet each participants needs. No need to be intimidated. One participant's explanation of why she joined this training was "my sister asked me why I was joining this class...was it to get in shape for an upcoming trip to Japan?" The participant replied, "No, I'm getting ready for life"! |
